I’m going to draw a super loose connection to these pics for the story I’m about to tell. But yeah, my kid is awesome.
And so is my husband. Several months back we made a trip to NYC and hit a Japanese market Job had dreamed about for 10 years.
He got lots of stuff. But his best pick was a package of nori (dried seaweed sheets). It was tasty. He talked about the stuff practically constantly. Ate it like chips. And kept the package to research it.
As it turns out the stuff was pricey and not easy to find. The actual packaging was in Japanese so it made it tough to research.
But my main squeeze persevered. And recently he announced to me that he had found out what makes this particular nori pricey, hard to find and (gulp) tasty.
Special ingredient: Cod semen
Some things you could do without knowing.
Job, of course, was unphased. And corrects me each time I say cod semen. It’s commonly known as milt. But I find cod semen more impactful for telling the story.
