Soon enough I’ll have to rename the blog to Grown Up Her. She’s just broaching 13-months and homegirl is a non-stop parade of 13-month old skills.
She certainly has her own idea of what’s to be done at any given moment and she does it with reckless abandon. She’s super into her ride along toys. And coupled with not super coordination and/or height it is as adorable as you could imagine.
She’s really taken to imitating. As evidenced by the attached photos. You can get her to “say yes” to anything simply by shaking your head yes as you ask.
And she’s as sassy as she is sweet. She’ll give you a serious babble talk while wagging a finger at you. She’ll push you aside if you’re in her way. But then she’ll hug you with a full blown back pat included. And give you the toothiest, openest mouth kisses.
Oddly enough, for how big she seems like she’s getting, occasionally she’ll crawl again. And as of late she’s been waking up really early. Like 445 am one day. And just when I think she’s regressing I read that now is when kids start dreaming. How ‘bout that.
I bet the crawling is just her imitating the cats. Though I’m not sure the same logic can be applied to her occasionally eating cat food.
*Sidenote: I read about the dreaming in these emails I STILL get from some baby website I signed up for while expecting. At that point they were weekly, now it’s slowed to monthly. I’m actually really curious to see how far they’ll go.
Your 21 year old is likely drunk and most definitely skipping their 8am class that cost you $600/hr in favor of spending more time with her ‘artist’ boyfriend (or girlfriend).
In their flying car.
On the moon.
