We don’t have a tree. Not a single string of lights. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Zero Christmas at our house.

We will be traveling for the holidays. (Don’t rob us.) And it is ridiculous to attempt a tree with a walking infant. But I’m still a little bummed about the complete lack of holidays in our home.

I made some mint and chocolate chip cookies to ease the pain. It helps.

We’ll be off soon to celebrate with family and friends. And my BFF Maxiney will celebrate her first bday. Which I have mixed feelings about. Yeah. Kids get older. I can cope. It’s just the speed at which everday life has been flying by since she was born that smarts.

I think my 4-yr-old niece said it best, “Bitch, that’s not fair.” Which is at once both HILARIOUS and serves as a reminder that with age comes awesome stuff like that.
