I have always maintained a philosophy in life.

Well, this is one of the philosophies I’ve maintained in life: Never do anything so much you can never do it again.

It was true of drinking in the days of my youth. (Maybe true of drinking right up until the onset of Maxine.)

And now it’s true of kids.

They are sooo awesome. I could totally go full Suleman. Her mistake was having them all at once. She’s done. Retire her jersey. Dog grant her the serenity to accept the things she cannot change…IDK the rest. You get it. She’s a babyholic. She binged on the babies. She can never baby again.

We recently had a kid visitor in the house. Maxine was wild about the camaraderie.

This is my niece. Maxine’s cousin. My sister’s daughter.

This is her showing my girl the coloring ropes, forcing eye contact for a photo, and wearing a “neck pillow” designed for a doll??

I honestly don’t know who/what it’s designed for but Rachel LOVES it. Wears it backwards and forwards. Brought it in the car and to brunch.

And she is this awesome 98% of the time.

Kids are awesome. Kids in my family are way awesome. Give me 8 6 4…
