So my folks came for a visit. They brought Maxine some stuff that pretty much blew her mind.

A baby-sized couch. It’s not our, um, usual design aesthetic, but she LOVES the damn thing. As do both the cats. In addition to being lots of fun, this comes with a valuable lesson, do not let your infant child and/or cats decorate your home. So, jot that one down somewhere for future reference.

You can also make out in some of the pictures those cards that play music when you open them. Yes. Those greeting cards. Well, my mom’s been recylcing since “green” was still just blue and yellow. She held on to these thinking Maxine would like playing with them. She was right. Lady bird’s got some dancey, dancey feet and being able to control her own music is cause to shimmy. Job says it’s like a baby iPod. And it really is. They should rebrand the cards. (Though I’m almost certain they’re a choking hazard. Maxine ate part of one today. In all fairness, she didn’t choke.)

The grandparents bounty is still more bountiful, but this next Nonnie (aka Grandma) move is deserving of it’s own post.
