Lady bird is 10-months old. So far, every age is my favorite.

Ten months has brought us some pretty awesome milestones though, such as but not limited to:

  • Scrunching up her face in response to things and just for fun

  • Shaking her head “No”, not with intention but super cute

  • Pointing at stuff, with intention

  • Crying when she gets “in trouble”. She’s developed this habit of biting the table. We tell her not to and she loses it. Well, she did. That lasted about 3 days. Now she just stares at you and then bites the table more/again.

  • Giving something the business. Just chattering away - often with a super serious look upon her face. Sometimes with pointing.

  • Getting chased around the ottoman. Homegirl loses it. Squeals. Belly laughs. She even initiates this game with a coy grin and a head start.

  • Chasing the cats

  • Climbing on stuff

  • Trying to drink from my cup whenever she can get her hands on it. Trying and failing.

  • And if the others didn’t foreshadow it, she walks. Unassisted. Tottering with plenty of falls. But she’s gone full walk.

In less awesome development, her sleeping has gone to hell lately. I suspect it’s teeth. I hope it’s teeth. At least that has the promise of being temporary. We are tired.

Oh, and I will punch daylight savings time in the face.
