So awesome. She is so awesome it actually hurts. If I try to grasp her sheer awesomeness, I end up in tears. It’s like trying to grasp that space goes on forever. And then crying.
You just can’t get your head around some things.
She’s working super hard on crawling lately. She does all the things babies do when about to crawl. Hand. Knees. Rocking. While I cheer on her efforts, it’s not the successes that get me most momma’d up. When she’s worked herself to frustration, still on all fours her head will dip with fatigue. She’ll raise it to search me out and meet my gaze. And then the open mouth wail. Tears springing forth. She wants rescued. I’m happy to oblige as I scoop her up and bring her close.
It’s one of a thousand scenarios that play out in our days together. Mundane and repeated the world over. But her gaze and my arms are a combination only we can create. We’re a team me and my gal Maxiney.
Crawl for one and one for crawl.
