Xiney and I spent a nice chunk of our Sunday morning visiting with some super awesome mom friends and their respective super awesome babies. The ONLY bad part of moving away from our old neighborhood was moving away from these old (and new) neighbors.

In reality, we didn’t move far. From the south side of the city to the north, but as only friends with kids can understand, it might as well be across the country. You just do less.

I don’t bemoan the loss of our former lifestyle. I had always wondered when I would stop binge drinking (April 16, 2011). And I wholeheartedly love every single thing about being a parent.

But I do miss my non-parent friends.

But, then again, I miss my parent friends too.

Thanks for the much needed visit ladies. It could only have been better if we had been (binge) drinking.
