I don’t recall how many times I’ve offered up things that have changed since having a baby, but it certainly feels familiar as I type it.
So, another thing that’s come on board since baby came on board, is that when I get tired - like exhausted tired - I get fevers. Like shockingly high, shivering, delirious, can’t-really-think-properly-due-to-my-brain-being-cooked fevers.
This first week back from vacation has been brutal. Last nite my temperature spiked to 103.5. I was so tired I just mouthed the word toothpaste and went to bed.
I fail to see the homeostatic benefit of a fever when one is devastatingly tired. I slept horribly.
I wonder when the after effects of maternity will stop. Probably around the same time that I stop blaming pregnancy for everything weird and/or fat about me. Which is never.
